Is the title to your house registered?

The Land Registry has selected 2012 as the date for compulsory registration of all property in England and Wales but you can register voluntarily now.

Some of the benefits of voluntary registration are:-

· A registered title in guaranteed by the government

· The owner of registered land is better protected against squatters – particularly important for large land owners

· Future conveyancing is simpler and usually less expensive

· There are no title deeds to store or get lost!
